2.92.110 - Informal bid procedures.¶
"Public projects," as defined by the Act, of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) (or as modified by the Act) or less, may be let to contract by informal procedures as set forth in Section 22032 et seq. of the Public Contract Code.

2.92.120 - List of qualified contractors.¶
The county purchasing agent shall develop and maintain a list of qualified contractors, identified according to categories of work, which qualification will be based on the minimum criteria determined by the commission.

2.92.130 - Notice inviting bids.¶
Where a public project is to be performed which is subject to the provisions of this article, a notice inviting informal bids shall be mailed to all construction trade journals, as specified by the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Commission in accordance with Section 22036 of the Public Contract Code. Additional contractors and/or construction trade journals ma y be notified at the discretion of the county; provided however, that if the project or service is proprietary in nature such that it can be obtained only from a certain contractor or contractors, the notice inviting informal bids may be sent exclusively to such contractor or contractors. The mailing of all notices shall be completed not less than ten (10) calendar days before bids are due. The notice shall include a general description of the project, where to obtain further details, and the time and place for submission of the bids.

2.92.140 - Award of contracts.¶
The Riverside purchasing agent is authorized to award informal contracts pursuant to this article. Upon request to, and approval of, the board, a designee or designees may be appointed to award contracts in lieu of, or in addition to, the authority vested in the director of purchasing and material services department pursuant to this article.
