10.20.010 - Police department authorized to furnish copies—Fee to be prescribed by council resolutions.

Upon the termination of any criminal proceedings arising out of a traffic accident, or upon the determination by the proper authorities not to file any criminal charges as a result of such accident, but in all cases upon the termination of a period of six months after the date of the accident, the police department is authorized to furnish photostatic or other reproduction of all factual data authorized by Section 488.5 of the Vehicle Code of the state of California to the interested parties named in Section 488 of said code.

The city council from time to time shall prescribe by resolution the fee to be charged by the police department for furnishing such data.

10.20.020 - Agencies exempt from payment of fee.

No federal, state, county, municipality, district or other political subdivision, or any department thereof, nor any governmental agency, nor any public office, board or body acting in its official capacity, shall be required to pay the fee hereinabove provided.
