9.36.010 - Definitions.

The following words and phrases used in this chapter shall be defined as follows:

A. "Coin-operated motion picture/video booth" means any enclosed, partially enclosed or semi-enclosed booth or area used for the purpose of viewing motion pictures and/or video tapes, the operation of which is controlled by placing therein any coin, plate, disk, token, plug, key or other device, or by the payment of any fee.

B. "Door" means any door, curtain or partition of any kind whatsoever.

9.36.020 - Doors on booths prohibited.

The interior of any coin-operated motion picture/video booth shall be fully visible from the exterior thereof at all times. The entrance to any such booth shall be completely open at all times and shall not be covered or obstructed by a door of any kind.

9.36.030 - Number of patrons per booth regulated.

No more than one individual shall use or occupy a coin-operated motion picture/video booth at any one time.

9.36.040 - Openings between booths prohibited.

There shall be no opening, hole or window between any two coin-operated motion picture/video booths.

9.36.050 - Public nuisance.

A violation of this chapter may be determined to be a public nuisance by the city council and be subject to abatement pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 9.39 of this code.
