§ 5-3.201. Required: Exceptions.¶
No person shall conduct or maintain any home for the aged, mental institution, private day school, day nursery or day nursery school, private boarding school, or children's boarding home without having obtained a written health permit therefor; provided, however, no person shall be required to obtain such a permit where less than seven children or aged persons are housed who are not related to his immediate family.

§ 5-3.202. Term: Renewal.¶
The permit required by the provisions of this article shall expire 12 months after its date of issuance by the Council. An application for renewal shall be filed at least 10 days prior to its expiration each year. If the application for renewal is not so filed, the permit shall terminate.

§ 5-3.203. Application fee.¶
Every application for a permit, or for any renewal thereof, shall be accompanied by an application fee in the amount of Ten and no/100ths ($10.00) Dollars for seven or more children, aged or mentally ill persons, to conduct any type of service or establishment, or in the amount of Fifteen and no/100ths ($15.00) Dollars for a capacity of 25 or more children, aged or mentally ill persons in only one type of service or establishment, or in two or more types of services or establishments at one location; provided, however, nonprofit organizations shall be exempt from any such license application fee.
