Article XX — CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY

§ 25.200 GENERALLY.

No vacant land in any district established under the provisions of this chapter shall hereafter be occupied or used and no building hereafter erected, structurally altered by adding new square footage or moved into any districts shall be occupied until an approval of occupancy has been issued therefore by the Community Development Department. § 25.200-1 APPLICATION.

Application for a required approval of occupancy for a new or change in use of land, for a new building or for an existing building which has been altered or moved shall be made to the city before any land or building shall be occupied or used.

§ 25.200-2 ISSUANCE.

A certificate of occupancy shall be issued if the proposed use of the building or land conforms with the district regulations of this chapter and other regulations including, but not limited to the Uniform Building Code.
