5.08.010. - County ordinance adopted.¶
A. Ordinance No. 5860 of the county, entitled "An Ordinance Regulating and Licensing Businesses in the Unincorporated Area of the County of Los Angeles," as amended and in effect on September 7, 1973, is adopted as an ordinance regulating businesses in the city.
B. Three copies of Ordinance No. 5860 of the county, as amended, have been deposited with the office of the city clerk and shall be at all times maintained by the clerk for use and examination by the public.
C. Notwithstanding subsection (A) of this section, chapter 7.54 (Massage) of the county code is hereby repealed.

5.08.020. - Section 92.2 added; suspension or revocation; capping.¶
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5.08.010 (County ordinance adopted), the license ordinance, being Ordinance No. 5860 of the county adopted by section 5.08.010 (County ordinance adopted), is amended by adding section 92.2 to read:
Section 92.2. Suspension or revocation—Capping.
In addition to the grounds stated in any other section of this ordinance, the commission after a hearing as provided in article 9 of chapter I shall suspend for a period of not less than ten days nor more than 60 days a tow truck operator license granted pursuant to section 706 or an ambulance operator license granted pursuant to section 1003 if it finds that any such licensee, their agent or employee, general manager, or person who is exercising managerial authority of or on behalf of the licensee has acted as a runner or capper as prohibited by Business and Professions Code §§ 6151 and 6152.
In addition to the grounds stated in any other section of this ordinance, the commission after a hearing as provided in article 9 of chapter I shall revoke a tow truck operator license granted pursuant to section 706 or an ambulance operator license granted pursuant to section 1003 if it finds that any such licensee, their agent or employee, general manager, or person who is exercising managerial authority of or on behalf of the licensee or any combination of such persons has acted as a runner or capper as prohibited by Business and Professions Code §§ 6151 and 6152 more than once in any 12-month period.

5.08.030. - Section 17.11 added; waste collectors' licenses.¶
Restricted. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5.08.010 (County ordinance adopted), the license ordinance, being Ordinance No. 5860 of the county adopted by section 5.08.010 (County ordinance adopted), is amended by adding section 17.11 to article 5 of chapter IX to read:
Section 17.11. Waste collectors' licenses restricted.
Waste collector licenses shall be issued only to persons possessing a valid waste collector license on June 21, 1983, or a successor-in-interest to any such person. No waste collector license shall be issued to any person possessing a valid waste collector license on June 21, 1983, or any successor-in interest thereto, if said person or successor-in-interest fails to renew the license within six months after the expiration thereof.

5.08.040. - Sections 607 to 610 of article 12 of chapter II and chapter XVIII repealed.¶
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5.08.010 (County ordinance adopted), sections 607, 608, 609 and 610 of article 12 of chapter II and chapter XVIII of the license ordinance are repealed.

5.08.050.¶
- Sections 531 through 549, inclusive, and sections 591 through 599, inclusive, of article 11 of chapter II repealed.
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5.08.010 (County ordinance adopted), sections 531 through 549, inclusive, and sections 591, 591.1, 591.2, 591.3, 591.4, 591.5, 591.6, 591.7, 591.8, 591.9, 592, 592.1, 592.2, 593, 594, 595, 596, 597, 598, and 599 of the licensing ordinance are repealed.
