§ 9.16.010. Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the terms "alcoholic beverage" and "alcoholic beverages" shall have the meaning set forth in Business and Professions Code § 23004, as the same presently exists, or as the same may be amended from time to time.

§ 9.16.020. Consumption of alcoholic beverages in public places prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to consume any alcoholic beverage while upon any public street, alley, way, sidewalk or parkway, whether in a motor vehicle or otherwise, within the city.

§ 9.16.030. Penalties for violation of chapter.

It is unlawful for any person to violate any provision of this chapter. Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000.00, or by imprisonment not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
