§ 9.04.010. Consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The drinking or consumption of any beverage containing any alcoholic content, upon any public street, road, or sidewalk within the City is prohibited.

Such prohibition is subject to the following exceptions:

A. Nonprofit or public service organizations are permitted to sell or provide such beverages at community sponsored events.

B. Events sponsored by other public service organizations shall be exempt upon approval of the City Council.

§ 9.04.020. Violation—Penalty.

Any person guilty of the violation of the provision of this chapter shall be deemed and will constitute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding the sum of $100 upon conviction thereof, or be punished by imprisonment in the County Jail of Amador County for a period not exceeding five days, or by both fine and imprisonment.
