§ 2.30.010. Need declared.

Under Health and Safety Code section 33101, the city council declares that there is a need for the agency created by Health and Safety Code section 33100 to function in the city. The redevelopment agency is authorized to transact business and exercise its power under the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California, Health and Safety Code sections 33000 through 33674.

§ 2.30.020. City council as agency.

Under Health and Safety Code section 33200, the city council declares itself to be the agency provided for in PHMC § 2.25.010. All the rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities vested by the Community Redevelopment Law in the agency shall be vested in the city council.
