Pleasant Hill Municipal Code Ch. 2.35 Department of Human

§ 2.35.010. Created – Director designated.¶

There shall be a city department known as the department of human resources, which shall carry out the functions set forth herein. The administrative officer of the department shall be known as the director of human resources and shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the city manager. In the absence of an appointment, the city manager shall serve as director of human resources.

§ 2.35.020. Duties as personnel officer and functions of department.¶

The director of human resources shall serve as the personnel officer. The department of human resources shall administer the personnel system, maintain employee records and perform necessary duties for the effective administration of the system.

The department of human resources shall perform such additional functions as the city council or city manager require.
