Pismo Beach Municipal Code Ch. 16.12 General Provisions

This title shall be known as the "Subdivision Standards and Regulations of the City of Pismo Beach." (Ord. 299 § 1 (part), 1982)

The provisions of this title are adopted pursuant to the provisions of the Subdivision Map Act, as set forth in the Government Code, Division 2, Title 7, commencing with Section 65000 and any subsequent.amendments. Subsequent amendments to the State Map Act affecting the provisions of this title shall be enforced by the city on their effective date of state approval until added to this title. The purpose of this title and any pertinent rules, regulations and specifications hereafter adopted is to regulate and control the design and improvement of land for all purposes within the city in order to preserve and enhance the health, safety, welfare and amenities of the community. It is further the purpose of this title to encourage new concepts and innovations in the arrangement of building sites within subdivisions. Deviations from standards would include density transfer, optional design standards, and any new concepts that would result in an improved utilization of the land. (Ord. 299 § 1 (part), 1982)
