Pinole Municipal Code Ch. 9.12 Signs and Posters

It is unlawful to post or affix, or cause to be posted or affixed, to or upon any private premises, any advertising sign, poster, bill or notice without the written consent of the owner, agent or occupant of the premises. (Ord. 219 § 1, 1965).

Any advertising sign, poster, bill or notice, posted or affixed to or upon any private premises with such consent must be removed therefrom by the person receiving such consent within ten days after notice from the owner, agent, or occupant of the premises. (Ord. 219 § 2, 1965).

It is unlawful for any person to paste, paint, affix or fasten or cause to be painted, posted, affixed or fastened on any telegraph, telephone, electric light or street car pole, or on the sidewalk, roadway or on any public building or structure within the city of Pinole, any advertisement, bill notice, card, sign or advertising device. (Ord. 219 § 3, 1965).

Every act prohibited or declared unlawful and every failure to perform an act required by this chapter is a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor may be punished by a fine of no more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for no longer than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Any person causing or permitting a violation of this chapter shall be regarded as committing a separate offense on each day that the violation occurs or continues. (Ord. 219 § 4, 1965).
