2.25.010 - Short title.¶
This chapter shall be known as the "Parking Authority Ordinance."

2.25.020 - Establishment.¶
On June 6, 1972, the city council adopted Resolution 1399, declaring there is a need for a parking authority to function in the city in light of the Parking Law of 1949 (Streets and Highways Code § 32500 et seq.) (the "Act").
Pursuant to Streets and Highways Code § 32650, there was created and established an authority to be known as the "parking authority of Pasadena" and hereinafter referred to as "authority," which is a public body, corporate and politic, separate from the city.

2.25.030 - Membership.¶
Pursuant to Streets and Highway Code Section 32661.1, the council declared itself to be the members of the parking authority of the city. All the rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities vested in such a body under the Act shall be vested in the city council as the members of the parking authority.

2.25.040 - Meetings.¶
The authority shall hold meetings at such time as it shall determine. All of its meetings shall be held in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act and shall be open to the public except as provided by law.

2.25.050 - Purpose and functions.¶
A. The purpose of the parking authority is to establish parking facilities for motor vehicles within the city, to furnish motor vehicle parking spaces, and to care for such vehicles within any parking facility or space owned, controlled or operated by the authority.
B. The functions of the authority include the supplying of additional parking facilities and the performance of all undertakings incidental or advantageous thereto in accordance with the provisions of the Act.
