SEC. 16-660. PURPOSE AND INTENT.

The purposes of short-term rental unit regulations are to establish standards and requirements for the temporary rental of dwellings as accessory uses in order to: (1) ensure that the use of dwellings as short-term rental units does not adversely impact long-term housing opportunities in the City of Oxnard; (2) ensure that short-term rental units are

compatible with surrounding land uses; and (3) protect the health, safety and welfare of the short-term rental units’ renters, occupants, neighboring residents, as well as the general public and environment. (Ord. No. 2969)
