Oroville Municipal Code Ch. 15.76 Public Works

The provisions of this chapter shall be administered and enforced by the building official under the general supervision and direction of the city engineer.

No land or structure located in a public street or way or any area or way intended or proposed to be dedicated shall be constructed, graded, paved, altered, reconstructed, installed or otherwise disturbed except as provided in this chapter.

This chapter shall not apply to works of improvement which are undertaken, performed or completed pursuant to any of the provisions of Titles 12 and 17 of this Code relating to streets and sidewalks and zoning. Nor shall this chapter apply to works subject to Article XXVIII of the Charter, other works performed by city employees, by the division of highways of the state, nor the installation, maintenance, repair, removal or replacement of facilities owned or maintained by any public utility.

Applications for permits, inspections, deposits and procedures for works subject hereof shall be made and applied as provided in Chapter 12.08 of this Code.

The minimum requirements for all work subject to this chapter shall be in accordance with the "standards of the city" on file in the office of the city engineer as adopted pursuant to Titles 16 and 17 of this Code.
