2.12.010 - Date of election.

The general municipal election for the city shall be held on the same day as the day of the statewide general election, the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each even-numbered year, beginning with the election to be held in November 1986. (Prior code § 2-301)

2.12.020 - Conduct of succeeding general municipal elections.

The general election in 1986 and each general municipal election thereafter shall be conducted on the date specified by this chapter in accordance with Section 36503.5(a) of the Government Code, unless this chapter is later repealed by the City Council. At least one election shall be held before this chapter as approved by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors may be subsequently repealed or amended. (Prior code § 2-305)
