Sec. 2-5.01. Established.

A public library in and for the City is hereby established pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Thirty-fourth legislature of the State, approved March 23, 1901, entitled “An Act to Provide for the Establishment and Maintenance of Public Libraries within Municipalities,” being Cal. Educ. Code §§ 18900 et seq., the provisions of which are hereby incorporated and made a part of this chapter. (§ 1, Ord. 103, eff. March 13, 1902)
