The level or datum plane for the City is hereby established at sea level, and the official bench mark of the City is hereby established as a point at the intersection of the vertical and horizontal lines on a round brass plate, two (2) inches in diameter, set in the wall at the southwest corner of the north wing of old City Hall at 225 South Euclid Avenue which presently houses the Ontario Museum of History and Art, two (2) feet, more or less, from the ground, and at an elevation of 995.405 feet above sea level. All grades, elevations, and levels of the City shall be based upon such datum plane and bench mark. (§§ 1 and 2, Ord. 599, eff. May 19, 1937)
