§ 10-7.101. Policy statement.

The Council finds that timeshare facilities constitute a commercial hotel use. Due to the mixed method of operation, hybrid ownership, the potential generation of large numbers of people and vehicles, and the potential impact on the tourism-related facilities in the City, special development criteria are warranted. Also, this chapter is intended to establish criteria by which timeshare facilities will function as hotels/motels. Any conversion of an existing facility to timeshare use will be required to meet the same standards as new facilities.
