Sec. 13.41. - Enforcement.

(a) The provisions of this chapter may be enforced by any person authorized pursuant to any other provision of this chapter or pursuant to section 1.12 of this Code.

(b) In addition to any summary abatement remedy authorized by this chapter, violations of this chapter shall be deemed an infraction and subject to the penalties and other remedies established by section 1.7 of this Code.

(c) In addition to the other penalties and remedies established by this section, violations of this chapter shall be subject to any administrative penalty authorized and established by ordinance of the city council.

(d) The designated enforcement entity as described in subsection (a) is authorized to establish regulations and to take any and all actions reasonable and necessary to obtain compliance with this chapter, including but not limited to, inspecting any premises to verify compliance with this chapter. Without a warrant, this section does not allow the city to enter the interior and/or restricted areas of a private residential property for inspection. Failure of a responsible party to provide or arrange for access to an entity's premises (with the exception of residential property interiors) or access to records for any inspection or investigation is a violation of this ordinance and may result in penalties described in this section.
