Except as otherwise provided by this Code, or any ordinance or resolution of the City Council, or as provided in the City’s adopted Employee Handbook, holidays shall be observed on all Saturdays and as specified in Government Code Section 6700 et seq. This chapter is declarative of existing practice, and thus creates no change in the schedule, benefit, leave or compensation of any City employee or contractor.
