§ 11.28.010. Official base established.¶
For the purpose of the establishment of the official grades of the streets and avenues of the City of Mill Valley, the ordinary high water mark shall be and the same hereby is fixed and established as the official town base and that the top of a certain spike driven into a post set in and flush with the sidewalk about two feet inside the curb line on the northwesterly line of Throckmorton Avenue in front of the northeasterly portion of Lot No. 5 of Block No. 1 as the same is laid down and delineated upon that certain map entitled "Tamalpais 5," filed in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Marin, State of California, on the third day of March, 1898, in Map Book 1 on page 101 of the records of said Recorder's Office be and the same hereby is fixed and established as being 61.22 feet above said official town base of ordinary high water mark. § 11.28.020. Grades fixed at curb line.¶
All official grades hereafter fixed and established by the City Council, unless otherwise specified at the time of the establishment of such grades, shall be for the curb line of the streets and avenues upon which such official grades shall be so established. (Ord. 73 § 2, May 10, 1904)
