3.24.010 - Claims required to be presented.

Pursuant to the authority granted by Section 935 of the California Government Code ("the Code"), claims against the city for money or damages which by Section 905 of the Code are otherwise excepted from Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 900) and Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 910) of Part 3 of Division 3.6 of Title 1 of the Code, and which are not governed by any other statutes or regulations expressly relating thereto, shall be governed by the procedure prescribed in Section 3.24.020 and subject to Section 3.24.030 of this chapter.

A claim against the city for damages or money shall be presented and acted upon as a prerequisite to suit thereon.

3.24.030 - Procedures.

A claim against the city for damages or money shall be presented and acted upon within the time limitations and in the manner prescribed by Chapter 1 (commencing with Section 900) and Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 910) of Part 3 of Division 3.6 of Title 1 of the Code and shall be subject to the provisions of Section 945.6 and Section 946 of the Code.
