Mendota Municipal Code Ch. 15.08 Building Code

The California Building Code, including the Appendices as referenced in the 2022 California Building Code Standards and the International Building Code Standards is adopted by reference.

For the purposes of this chapter:

A. "Abandonment of work" shall mean the failure to accomplish sufficient construction to require inspection by the building official as set forth in the California Building Code.

B. "Building permit" shall mean an authorization made by the building official pursuant to the California Building Code.

The provisions of the California Building Code concerning expiration of building permits upon abandonment of work shall remain in force.
