9.08.010 - Use prohibited.¶
No person shall, within the city limits, discharge any pistol, air gun, musket gun, shotgun, rifle, revolver, B-B gun, gas-operated gun, spring gun or any instrument of any kind, character or description which throws or projects bullets or missiles of any kind to any distance by means of elastic force, air or any explosive substance.

9.08.020 - Exception—Shooting gallery.¶
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed so as to prohibit any person from shooting in any licensed shooting gallery.

9.08.030 - Exception—Law enforcement officers.¶
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed so as to prohibit United States Marshals, sheriffs, constables and their deputies, and any regular, special or ex officio police officer, or any other law enforcement officer from discharging any of the weapons described in Section 9.08.010 as shall be necessary in the proper discharge of their duties.

9.08.040 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Any person violating this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not to exceed five hundred dollars or imprisoned in the county jail for a term not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
