8.04.010 - Right of Council to levy tax.¶
The Council may levy and collect for each fiscal year a tax not exceeding ten (10¢) cents on each one hundred and no/l00ths ($100.00) dollars of the assessed value of taxable property within the City for the purpose of providing and maintaining parks and music and for advertising purposes, and may use and expend the money realized from such tax only for the purposes indicated by this section in any manner that may be determined best by the Council for such purposes, and in such proportion to each of said purposes, from year to year, as the Council may elect in the resolution, ordinance, order or proceeding providing the levy of such tax in each of such respective fiscal years. Such tax shall be in addition to all other taxes now authorized by law to be levied and may be levied and collected for each fiscal year.
