2.20.010 - Assistance to distressed persons and animals.¶
In addition to the performance of their regular and ordinary duties, it shall be the duty of all police officers, firemen, and employees of the Street and Water Departments at all times and under all circumstances to go to the aid of persons or animals in distress or danger and render them such help and assistance as lies within their power.

2.20.020 - Assistance outside City.¶
Police officers and firemen shall render assistance outside the City at any and all times as may be required by the Chief of Police or the Chief of the Fire Department.

2.20.030 - Workmen's compensation.¶
In the event any police officer, fireman, or employee of the Street or Water Department shall be injured while rendering additional service as provided by this chapter, he shall be deemed to be injured in the course of his employment and be entitled to workmen's compensation as provided by law.

2.20.040 - Training of Corrections personnel.¶
All training of personnel assigned to Correctional duties for which application is made to the State of California for payment from the Corrections Training Fund (California Penal Code Section 6040), shall adhere to the standards for selection and training established by the Board of Corrections.
