§ 5.08.010. Adoption of business regulations.¶
Title 8, Consumer Protection and Business Regulations, Division 2, Business Regulations, of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended and in effect on July 16, 1991, is adopted by reference as the business regulations of the city.
A copy of the business regulations has been deposited in the office of the city clerk and shall be at all times maintained by the clerk for use and examination by the public. Chapter 7.24 of Title 8, Division 2 of the Los Angeles County Code is deleted from this code.

§ 5.08.020. Violations—Penalty.¶
A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Every day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of this chapter is committed, continued or permitted, makes such violation a separate offense.
B. Any person violating any of the provisions of Chapter 8.36, Division 2, Title 8, of the Los Angeles County Code shall be deemed guilty of an infraction and shall be punishable in accordance with Section 1.16.010(B) of this code.

§ 5.08.105. Adoption of business license ordinance.¶
A. Except as hereinafter provided, Title 7, Division 2, Chapter 7.55 (Medical Marijuana Dispensaries) of the Los Angeles County Code, is adopted by reference as the medical marijuana dispensary licensing regulations of the city.
B. A copy of Title 7, Division 2, Chapter 7.55 shall be available for public inspection in the office of the city clerk of the city of Malibu and shall be at all times maintained by the clerk for use and examination by the public.
