Article 35 — PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT

25-35-1: INTENT AND PURPOSE:

The intent of this article is to create zoning districts, which will identify and preserve public facilities. The public facility (PF) district applies to all public facilities in Lynwood, including city, school district, county, and other government properties. Public facilities include offices and support facilities for municipal, county, school system, district, state or federal functions, community centers, fire stations, police stations, post offices, public schools, libraries, community centers, corporate yards. Other public facilities include electrical substations, switching stations, communication facilities, pumping stations, well sites, reservoirs and canals. (Ord. #1563, §3)

25-35-2: USES:

A. Appendix A, “Uses By Zoning District”, of this chapter indicates the uses permitted in the PF zone district. Only public facilities are permitted as primary uses, although other uses are allowed as accessory, conditionally permitted, and temporary uses, as indicated in appendix A of this chapter.

B. Uses listed as conditionally permitted uses are subject to the review requirements and conditions contained in article 130 of this chapter. Temporary uses and conditions are subject to the review requirements and conditions contained in article 155 of this chapter. (Ord. #1563, §3)

25-35-3: SITE PLAN REVIEW APPROVAL:

A site plan review approval, as described in article 150 of this chapter, is required for all projects in the PF district involving the construction of new buildings. (Ord. #1563, §3)

25-35-4: DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS:

Table 35-1 of this section indicates the development standards for the public facilities zone district.
