7.12.010 No Parking at Certain Locations¶
No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle in any of the following described locations:
A. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the east property line of West Fourth Street to a point twenty (20) feet easternly.
B. Along the south side of North First Street from east property line of West Fourth Street to point twenty (20) feet easternly.
C. Along the south side of North First Street from the east boundary line of West Third Street to a point twenty (20) feet easternly.
D. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the West property line of West Third Street to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
E. Along the south curbline of North First Street from the west property line of West Third Street to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
F. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the east property line of West Third Street to a point twenty (20) feet easternly.
G. At the frontage of the north side of North First Street of Lot 5, Block 7, Old Town of Loyalton at any time during which any public performance is in progress in the premises situated on said lot.
H. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the west property line of West Second Street to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
I. Along the south curbline of North First Street from the west property line, corner of West Second Street and the north property line of alley to a point one-hundred and ninety-give (195) feet westernly thereof around the arc of the curbline if curbs were in place.
J. Along the south curbline of North First Street from the east property line of West Second Street to a point twenty (20) feet easternly.
7.08.020 – 7.12.010¶
K. Along the south curbline of North First Street from the west property line of West First Street to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
L. Along the south curbline of North First Street from the east property line of West First Street to a point twenty (20) feet easternly.
M. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the west property line of West First Street to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
N. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the east property line of West First Street to a point twenty (20) feet easternly.
O. Along the north curbline of North First Street from the west property line of Railroad Avenue to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
P. Along the south curbline of North First Street from the east property line of Railroad Avenue to a point twenty (20) feet westernly.
Q. Along the west side of West First Street from the intersection of West First Street with Lewis Avenue to a point lying one-hundred and twenty (120) feet north of said intersection or on the east side of West First Street from the intersection of West First Street with Lewis Avenue to a point lying seventy (70) feet North of said intersection.
The provisions of this section shall not apply to any vehicle of a city or state department or public utility while necessarily in use for construction or repair work.
7.12.020 Limited Parking At Certain Locations¶
A ten minute time limit is hereby established at the following location:
Along the south curbline of North First Street from a point 85 feet west of the west property line of West First Street to a point of 155 feet west of the west property line of West First Street.
(1) No Vehicle shall be parked for longer period than two hours at any time between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on either side of the North First Street, as said street lies between Railroad Avenue and West Fourth Street.
(2) No vehicle other than school Buses shall be parked between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the North side of North Second Street, upon which the Intermediate School building fronts.
7.12.025 No unauthorized Parking in City Park¶
No person, other than a person who has been specifically authorized by the City to do so, shall park any vehicle other than in designated areas within the City Park.

7.12.030 Notice of Provisions¶
The Chief of Police is directed to erect signs giving notice of the provisions of this chapter. There shall be no prosecution for any violation of this chapter at any time during which such signs are not in place.
7.12.040 Use of Streets for Storage of Vehicles Prohibited¶
A. No person who owns or has possession, custody, or control of any vehicle, shall park such vehicle upon any street or alley for more than a consecutive period of 120 hours.
B. In the event a vehicle is parked or left standing on a street in excess of a consecutive period of 120 hours, any member of the Police Department authorized by the Chief of Police may remove said vehicle from the street in the manner and subject to the requirements of the Vehicle Code.
7.12.045 Parking of Certain Commercial Vehicles Prohibited¶
No person shall stand or park any commercial vehicle having a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight
rating of 10,000 pounds or more on any portion of North Second Street between Railroad Avenue and
West Second Street that is in a residential district. For purposes of this section, “residential district”
shall mean any area zoned R-1, R-2, or R-3 according to the Zoning Map of the City of Loyalton.
Notwithstanding Section 7.12.030, the Chief of Police is directed to prosecute violations of this section,
without signs having been erected, if not more than 180 days prior to such violation the registered
owner of any offending commercial vehicle has received a copy of this Section 7.12.045 by either (1)
personal service or (2) through certified or registered mail, and proof of receipt has been received by
the City of Loyalton.
7.12.060 Parking Prohibited¶
A. Parking of any vehicle is prohibited on the East Side of South Railroad Avenue from its intersection with Main Street to a point of fifty feet from said intersection.
B. Parking any vehicle, or blocking of the area with the use of any vehicle or equipment, within a distance of 20 feet North and 20 feet South of the existing gasoline pumps located at the City Barn is prohibited.
C. Adequate signs notifying the public of the existing parking prohibitions will be placed and maintained in the areas affected.
7.12.070 Through Streets¶
A. Designated by Resolution
Those streets or parts of streets as fixed by resolution of the City Council heretofore or hereafter adopted are hereby declared to be through streets or through highways within the City.
7.12.030 – 7.12.070¶
B. Stopping at Entrance to Through Streets
When a stop sign is erected and in place as provided in this article at or near the entrance to any through street or highway, every driver or operator of a vehicle shall stop such vehicle at or near the entrance to such through street or highway before entering the same, except when directed to proceed by an authorized officer or traffic-control device.
C. Placing Signs
The traffic authority shall erect a stop sign on every street intersecting any through street or portion thereof at or near the entrance of such intersecting street to such through street or highway. Every such sign shall conform as to type, location and placement and in all other respects to the requirements of the state Vehicle Code relating to stop signs.
7.12.080 Angle Parking¶
It is determined, on the basis of an engineering survey and traffic survey, that angle parking is reasonable and safe and will not significantly reduce traffic capacity on the following streets or highways:
(1) On the north and south side of North First Street, (Main Street, Highway 49) from Railroad Avenue west to West Second Street.
