10.36.010 - Crosswalks.

A. The public works director shall establish, designate and maintain crosswalks by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the surface of the roadway where, in the public works director's opinion, there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway.

B. The public works director may install signs at or adjacent to an intersection or other appropriate locations directing that pedestrians shall not cross. It is unlawful for any pedestrian to cross at the location(s) prohibited by a sign. (Vehicle Code § 21106)
