9.08.010 - Impersonation of district attorney, sheriff or city official.

It is unlawful for any person, in the city to falsely personate, or to cause or permit to be falsely personated, either the district attorney, sheriff or any city official of the city, or to falsely represent himself, or another to be a deputy agent, investigator or representative of, or to be connected with or employed by the district attorney, sheriff or city official.

Provided, that no provision of this chapter shall be deemed or construed as prohibiting any act or representation prohibited by Sections 529, 530 or 6501/2 of the Penal Code of California or by any general law of said state.

9.08.020 - Wearing any distinctive part of sheriff's uniform.

It is unlawful for any person other than the sheriff or a deputy sheriff of the county of Los Angeles to wear the duly prescribed uniform of the sheriff or a deputy sheriff of the county of Los Angeles or any distinctive part of such uniform or a uniform any part of which is similar to a distinctive part of the duly prescribed uniform of the sheriff or a deputy sheriff of the county of Los Angeles.

9.08.030 - Possession or sale of district attorney's identification.

It is unlawful for any person other than a duly authorized member of the district attorney's office serving with compensation from the county of Los Angeles to have in his possession or on his person an identification card as prescribed by this section, and it is unlawful for any person to make, print, issue, give or sell any such identification card as prescribed by this section, or to have in his possession or on his person any identification card such as is prescribed in this section, or any imitation thereof, or card similar thereto, without the previous authorization in writing of the district attorney of the county of Los Angeles, or of the assistant district attorney, or of the chief deputy district attorney.
