13.12.010 - Adoption by reference of county water ordinance.

A. Except as hereinafter provided, that certain water ordinance as adopted by Division 1 of Title 20, as amended, of the county of Los Angeles entitled the "water ordinance" shall become the water ordinance of the city of Lancaster.

B. Three copies of said Division 1 of said Title 20, as amended, of the county of Los Angeles, together with amendments included in this chapter, have been deposited in the office of the city clerk of the city of Lancaster and shall be at all times maintained by said clerk for use and examination by the public.

13.12.020 - Definitions.

Whenever any of the following names or terms are used in said Los Angeles County water ordinance each such name or term shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to it as follows:

"Board" or "board of supervisors" means the city council of the city of Lancaster.

"Building Code set out as Title 26 of this code" means the building code of the city of Lancaster.

"Clerk" or "clerk of the board" means the city clerk.

"County" or "county of Los Angeles" means the city of Lancaster, California.

"County counsel" means the city attorney.

"Director of planning" means the director of community development of the city.

"Division 1 of Title 16 of this code" means the highway permit ordinance of the city.

"Electrical Code set out as Title 27 of this code" means the electrical code of the city.

"Engineer or county engineer" means the city engineer.

"Plumbing Code set out as Title 28 of this code" means the plumbing code of the city.

"Regional planning commission" means the Lancaster planning commission.

"Road commissioner" means the director of public works.

"Section 21.32.100 of Title 21, Subdivisions" or "Subdivision Ordinance set out as Title 21 of this code" shall mean the subdivision ordinance of the city.

"Unincorporated area of the county" means the incorporated area of the city of Lancaster.

"Zoning ordinance" means the zoning ordinance of the city, codified in Title 17 of this code.

13.12.030 - Amendments to county water ordinance.

A. Section 20.04.340 of said Los Angeles County water ordinance is amended to read:

Section 20.04.340 Group R-3 occupancy.

"Group R-3 occupancy" means Group R-3 occupancy as now or hereafter used in the City Building Code and refers to single and two-family dwellings.

B. Section 20.04.420 of said Los Angeles County water ordinance is amended to read:

Section 20.04.420 Required area. "Required area" means required area as defined in the City Zoning Ordinance.

C. Subsection A of Section 20.08.030 of said Los Angeles County water ordinance is amended to read:

A. Place of Filing. The applicant shall file an application with the Department of Building and Engineering Services of the City.

D. Chapter 20.12, Water Appeals Board, of the county water ordinance is deleted in its entirety.
