Part 3 — New Construction[Added by Ord. 75-13]

Plans and specifications for water service to new subdivisions shall be submitted to the Director of Public Works. For new subdivisions the water system plans and specifications required to be so submitted shall include a certificate from a water utility that the proposed system can be operated by the water utility, and that the system will in every particular, meet the requirements of this Chapter. In addition, such plans and specifications shall be accompanied by a certificate of the Fire Chief to the effect that said plans and specifications provide minimum level of fire protection services as required by this Chapter and this Code.

Every application for a building permit shall be accompanied by a certificate of the Fire Chief and/or Director of Public Works, as the case may be, of compliance with the terms and provisions of this Chapter, all as required and specified in the Building Code (see Section 307 thereof).
