§ 2.28.010. Department established.¶
There shall be a department within the City government known as the Community Development Department, which shall have the responsibilities set forth in this chapter and such other duties and responsibilities as may be created by the City Council and/or City Manager.

§ 2.28.020. Enforcement of land use and building regulations.¶
The Director of the Department of Community Development, or his or her designee, shall be responsible for enforcement of zoning and land use regulations, building codes and related codes and regulations.

§ 2.28.030. Delegation of authority.¶
The responsibilities set forth in Section 2.28.010 may be discharged or performed by any Department of Community Development employee or contractor authorized by the Director of the Department of Community Development or the City Council to do so.
