§ 13.24.010. Naming of City owned property.

The City Council may name City owned property, both real and personal, after any person, place, or thing that the City Council deems appropriate. However, City owned property shall not be named after any City official or employee, whether living or deceased, with the exception of the following individuals who lose their lives in the line of duty: "emergency response providers" as that term is defined in Section 2 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 USC Section 101(6)), members of the United States military, and similar public safety officers.
