Sec. 15-15. - Public Places.

15.1 It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to camp, cook, or sleep upon any public road, highway, or other public place in the County of Lake, except where camping is expressly designated permissible by Federal, State or Local authority.

15.2 Penalty. Any person violating any provision of this section shall upon conviction thereof be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not to exceed sixty dollars ($60.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed sixty (60) days or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Sec. 15-16. - County Parks.

16.1 No person shall camp on, or occupy overnight any portion of the lands or waters within the boundaries of any County Park of the County of Lake.

16.2 Penalty.

Every violation of this section is punishable as an infraction by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00); or as a misdemeanor by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

16.3 Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 4, section 5.2, no person shall take,…

(a) Persons who have their dogs confined in their vehicles while in said County parks or beaches.

(b) Persons who are using a guide dog for the blind, or are in the process of training a guide dog for the blind and the dog is in a training harness.

(c) Persons while attending a County-approved dog obedience class.

(d) Persons riding or leading a horse under their control in Middletown County Park Trailside Nature Preserve.

(e) Persons walking lawfully licensed and leashed dogs on the interior park roads and the paved parking lot at Lakeside County Park. Dogs are not allowed at any time on the ballfields, playgrounds, grassy areas or beachfront except as provided in Subsection (f).

(f) Lawfully licensed dogs may be on leash and the dog('s) owner/owner's agent must have a leash for each dog not to exceed six (6) feet long. Dog(s) must be under the control of the dog('s) owner/owner's agent, at all times which includes not being vicious, aggressive and/or unsocialized in the designated areas of the following County parks:

(1) The signed area on the east end of the parking lot at Lucerne Harbor Park near the playground area on the beach;

(2) Within the designated signed area near Lakeshore Drive at Hammond Ave. Park;

(3) Within the signed area on the beach south of the boat ramp at Keeling Park;

(4) Within the signed area on the beach west of the breakwater at the Clearlake Oaks boat launch facility;

(5) Within the signed area at the west end of the swim area at Lakeside Park;

(6) On interior parks roads in Middletown County Park Trailside Nature Preserve; and

(7) Dogs allowed on boat ramps/courtesy docks if they are getting in or out of a watercraft within the County Parks.

(g) Persons walking dogs must immediately remove and dispose of feces in designated waste receptacles.

16.4 It shall be unlawful for any person to control or possess any glass beverage…

It shall be unlawful for any person to be in the Kelseyville Community Park located at 5270 State Street in Kelseyville and Lucerne Creek Park located between 8th and 9th Avenues (APN 34-124-01) in Lucerne from one (1) hour after sunset until one (1) hour before sunrise.
