Laguna Beach Municipal Code Ch. 14.54 California Mechanical Code

Pursuant to Section 50022.2 of the Government Code of the state of California, there is adopted by reference by the city council, for the purpose of providing minimum standards for regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, operation and maintenance of heating, ventilating, comfort cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators or other miscellaneous heat-producing appliances, that certain primary code known as the “California Mechanical Code, including all appendices thereof, 2025 Edition,” published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (based on the Uniform Mechanical Code, 2024 Edition). This code is adopted by reference and incorporated as though fully set forth in the chapter and shall be designated and referred to as the “Mechanical Code” of the city. Should there be a conflict between the California Mechanical Code as adopted and other municipal code requirements, the more restrictive shall govern.
