2-901 - Finding of need for redevelopment agency to function.

Under Section 33101 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, the city council declares that there is a need for the agency created by Section 33100 of the Health and Safety Code to function in the city of Lafayette. The redevelopment agency of the city is authorized to transact business and exercise its power under the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California, Health and Safety Code Sections 33000 through 33674.

2-902 - Declaration that city council is the redevelopment agency.

Under Section 33200 of the Health and Safety Code, the city council declares itself to be the agency provided for in Section 2-901 of this chapter. All the rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities vested by the Community Redevelopment Law in the agency shall be vested in the city council.
