§ 8.12.010. Accumulation of flammable waste materials prohibited.

Accumulation of waste paper, hay, grass, straw, weeds, litter or combustible or flammable waste materials, or rubbish of any kind shall not be permitted to remain upon any roof, or in any court, yard, vacant lot or open space. All weeds, grass, vines or other growth, when same endangers property, or is liable to be fired, shall be cut down to within three inches or less from the ground, except those areas within three feet of any building, fence, trees, shrubs, hedge, power pole, lumber pile, or flammable materials of value which shall be cleaned to the surface of the ground and shall be removed by the owner or occupant of the property it is on.

§ 8.12.020. Burning permit required.

Nothing in this code shall authorize the burning of materials either with or without a permit if contrary to applicable rules or laws of the county air pollution control district.

No outside storage of combustible material shall be permitted within three feet of a wooden garage or other wooden structure within a residentially zoned area or any other zone used for residential purposes.
