La Quinta Municipal Code Ch. 8.07 Green Building Standards Code

Certain documents marked and designated as the "2025 California Green Building Standards Code" Specifically Chapters 1 through 8, published by the California Building Standards Commission are adopted to improve public health, safety and general welfare by enhancing the design and construction of buildings through the use of building concepts having a reduced negative impact or positive environmental impact and encouraging sustainable construction practices.

Each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms therein, on file with the building official, are referenced and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter, except as otherwise provided in this chapter.
