§ 9.88.010. Restrictions.

Every person who, on the public streets of the city or on private property, fires any gun, rifle or pistol within the city limits, except in defense of person or property, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable as prescribed in Section 1.20.010, except persons performing or participating in:

A. Theatrical exhibitions;

B. Parades;

C. Civic events; or

D. Military events;

who have obtained a permit from the chief of police upon such terms and regulations as the city council may, from time to time, prescribe.
