§ 1.20.010. Misdemeanor.

  • A. Unless otherwise specifically provided, any person violating any provision or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of the city ordinances is guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor under the city ordinances, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both fine and imprisonment.

  • B. Each day and any portion of any day during which a violation of the city ordinances is committed, shall be considered a separate offense regardless of the duration that the violation is allowed to continue or permitted by any person, and each such person shall be punished accordingly.

§ 1.20.020. Infraction.

  • A. Except as otherwise provided, every person failing to comply with any provision of this code or any local ordinance which is punishable as an infraction, shall be punished upon the first conviction by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, and for a second conviction within a period of one year by a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars, and for a third conviction within the same year by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars.

  • B. Each and every day or any portion of any day during which a violation is allowed to continue may be considered a separate offense. The violator shall be punished accordingly.
