9.08.010 - Establishment of rates, fees and charges¶
The amounts of all fees and charges provided for herein shall be established on a monthly basis by ordinance of the city council in accordance with the provisions of the city sewer ordinance as amended from time to time and shall be billed on a bimonthly basis. Fees and charges provided for in the city sewer ordinance and imposed by the city council shall include but not be limited to the following provisions 9.08.020—9.08.150.
9.08.020 - Sewer service planning charge¶
The sewer service planning charge is to be collected with each application for approval of a development or subdivision and is to be set by the city council on a case by case basis by minutes order or resolution adopted by the city council.
9.08.030 - Plan checking charge¶
The plan checking charge shall be as follows:
A. The plan checking charge for individual parcels the charge shall be $150.00.
B. The plan checking charge for developments the fee shall be three percent of the total cost of construction of the sewer improvements.
9.08.040 - Sewer service discharge permit application charge¶
The sewer discharge permit application charge shall be $75.00, unless a lesser or greater fee has been established by ordinance.
9.08.050 - Sewer connection capacity charge¶
The sewer connection capacity charge shall be charged based on the following schedule:
A. Single dwelling unit:
New, per unit .....$3,148.00
Where septic tank exists, per unit .....2,948.00
Multi-family .....
B. Multiple housing: .....
Duplex, triplex, apartment, per unit .....3,148.00
Mobile home, per space .....2,581.00
C. Commercial and industrial .....
- Set on a case-by-case basis by the city council on the basis of equivalent dwelling units with a minimum fee .....3,148.00
9.08.060 - Construction inspection charge¶
The construction inspection charge shall be as follows:
A. The construction inspection charge for individual parcels the charge shall be $150.00
B. The construction inspection charge for developments shall be three percent of the total cost of construction of the sewer improvements.
9.08.070 - Sewer service disconnect charge¶
The fee for disconnecting a sewer service fee shall be $250.00.
9.08.080 - New or reconnected customer security deposit¶
Every new customer or reconnected customer shall post a deposit not greater than an amount equal to three months billing, as determined by finance director based upon the creditworthiness of the customer, which security may be used by the city sewer ordinance.
9.08.090 - Sewer service charges¶
The monthly charges for domestic sewer service shall be as follows:
A. Single-family dwelling unit (includes mobile homes, city) .....$42.00
B. Dwelling unit (includes mobile homes, outside city limits) .....42.00
C. Multi-family dwelling unit (city) .....34.00
9.08.100 - Commercial sewer service charges¶
The monthly charges for commercial sewer service shall be as follows:
A. Commercial (city-per EDU) .....$42.00
B. Commercial (outside city limits-per EDU) .....42.00
9.08.110 - Industrial sewer service charges¶
Charges for industrial sewage shall be as set on a case-by-case basis by the city council.
9.08.120 - Temporary sewer service charge¶
Monthly charges for temporary sewer service shall be $40.08 per month, payable in advance.
9.08.130 - Special provisions¶
Where more than one type of sewage is discharged from a premises the rate shall be fixed on a case-by-case basis by the city council as set forth for commercial sewer charges.
9.08.140 - Effective date¶
The domestic service charges, commercial services charges and industrial service charges shall take effect on September 1, 2000, or such later date when it shall become effective, and shall apply to all sewer services provided after said date.
9.08.150 - Excess fees collected¶
All sewer service charges collected in excess of the reasonably anticipated cost of providing sewer service shall be used to reduce sewer service charges.
