5.12.010 - Statutory authority.

It is the intent of the city council to authorize the licensing of bingo games in the city pursuant to Section 19 of Article IV of the State Constitution and Section 326.5 of the California Penal Code.

5.12.020 - Issuance authority.

A. The city council authorizes the city clerk to issue a license to conduct bingo games within the city to those organizations which meet the criteria established in California Penal Code Section 326.5.

B. The city clerk is authorized to collect a license fee of fifty dollars for an annual permit or fifteen dollars for a permit not exceeding five days. If an application for a license is denied, one-half of any license fee paid shall be refunded to the organization.
