Chapter 4.08 — SERVICE AREAS

The county will supply water and water services in accordance with this title to the following areas:

• A. Independence. Legal Description of the Proposed Independence Water Service Area:

A Portion of Township 13 South, Range 35 East, M.D.B. & M., in the County of Inyo, State of California. Described as follows: All of Section 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 Except the Northerly 1/4 of Section 7, Also Except the Southerly 1/2 of Section 20.

• B. Laws. Legal Description of the Proposed Laws Water Service Area:

That portion of Sections 22 and 27, Township 6 South, Range 33 East, M.D.M., in the County of Inyo, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Block D of the Town of Laws as shown on the map thereof recorded in Book 1, Page 34 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence northeasterly along the north line of said Town of Laws to the west line of the railroad right-of-way as shown on said map; thence northwesterly along said west line, 156.3 feet; thence continuing northeasterly along said right-of-way, at right angles, 100 feet; thence continuing northwesterly along said right-of-way, at right angles, 479.6 feet to the south line of said Section 22; thence easterly along said south line to the east line of the Southern Pacific Company right-of-way quitclaimed to the City of Los Angeles by the instrument recorded in Volume 187, Pages 166 through 172 of Official Records in the office of said County Recorder; thence northwesterly along said east line to the north line of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of said Section 22; thence easterly along said north line to the northeast corner of said southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 22; thence southerly along the east line thereof, and the east line of the west half of the northwest quarter of said Section 27, to the north line of Silver Canyon Road (formerly County Road) as shown on the map of the Gish Addition To Laws recorded in Book 1, Page 47 of said Maps; thence northeasterly along said last mentioned north line to the northerly prolongation of the west line of Jordan Avenue as shown on said last mentioned map; thence southerly along said last mentioned west line, and prolongation thereof, to the south line of said Gish Addition To Laws; thence westerly along said last mentioned south line, and the south line of the aforementioned Town Of Laws, to the southwest corner of Block M of said Town Of Laws; thence northwesterly along the west line of said Block M to the northwest corner thereof; thence northwesterly to the southwest corner of Block L of said Town Of Laws; thence northwesterly along the west line of said Block L to the northwest corner thereof; thence northwesterly to the southwest corner of Block E of said Town Of Laws; thence northwesterly along the west line of said Block E to the northwest corner thereof; thence northwesterly to the southwest corner of said Block D of the Town Of Laws; thence northwesterly along the west line of said Block D to the northwest corner thereof and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.

• C. Lone Pine. Legal description of the proposed Lone Pine Water Service Area:

That portion of Sections 21, 22, 27 and 28, Township 15 South, Range 36 East, M.D.M., in the County of Inyo, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at the northeast corner of the west half of the southeast quarter of said Section 21; thence southerly along the east line of the west half of the southeast quarter of said Section 21 to the north line of the south 240 feet of said Section 21; thence easterly along said last mentioned north line to the southwest corner of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map No. 215 as shown on the map thereof recorded in Book 3, Pages 27 and 28 of Parcel Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence northerly along the west line of said Parcel 1 to the northwest corner thereof; thence easterly along the north line of said Parcel 1, and the easterly prolongation thereof, to a point in the east line of the west 30.75 feet of said Section 22; thence southerly along said last mentioned east line to the south line of said Section 22; thence easterly along the north line of that certain parcel of land shown labeled "0.998 Acre Proposed Sale" on the Record Of Survey filed in Book 12, Page 21 of Record Of Survey Maps in the office of said County Recorder to the northeast corner thereof; thence southerly along the east line of said certain parcel of land to the southeast corner thereof; thence easterly along the easterly prolongation of the south line of said certain parcel of land to the northerly prolongation of the east line of East Line Street as shown on the map of the Lake View Addition recorded in Book 1, Page 64 of said Maps; thence southerly along said last mentioned east line and prolongation thereof to the south line of Inyo Street as shown on said last mentioned map; thence westerly along said last mentioned south line to east line of said Section 28; thence southerly along said last mentioned east line to the south line of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 28; thence westerly along the south line of said northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 28 to the west line of California State Highway Route 395 (80.00 feet wide); thence northwesterly along said west line of California State Highway Route 395 to the south line of the north 400 feet of said southeast quarter of Section 28; thence westerly along said last mentioned south line to the east line of the west 500 feet of said southeast quarter of Section 28; thence northerly along said last mentioned east line to the south line of the north half of Section 28; thence westerly along said last mention south line to the west line of the east half of the northwest quarter of said Section 28; thence northerly along said last mentioned west line to the north line of said Section 28; thence easterly along said last mentioned north line to the east line of the aforementioned California State Highway Route 395 (80.00 feet wide); thence northwesterly along said last mentioned east line to the north line of the south half of the north half of said Section 21; thence easterly along said last mentioned north line to the northeast corner of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 21; thence southerly along the east line of said southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of said Section 21 to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
