Imperial County Municipal Code Ch. 11.12 Fair Housing

A. This board of supervisors declares its commitment to promote fair housing in the sale, lease or rental of housing without regard to race, color, sex, religion, or national origin.

B. Under Section 801 of the Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which states that it is a policy of the United States to provide, within constitutional limitation, for fair housing throughout the United States, the Secretary of HUD is mandated to administer the National Policy of Fair Housing in the program activities of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, in a manner affirmatively to further the policies of fair housing.

C. The county clerk is instructed to disseminate this chapter to the real estate industry doing business in the county of Imperial and to post in public buildings where appropriate.
