§ 17.12.010. Adoption.

There is hereby adopted by the City Council by reference that certain code known as the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 edition, and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, for the purpose of providing a just, equitable and practicable method, or otherwise available at law, whereby buildings or structures which from any cause endanger the life, limb, health, morals, property, safety or welfare of the general public or their occupants, may be required to be repaired, vacated or demolished; providing penalties for the violation of such code, and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as though set out at length herein, as provided by California Government Code Section 50022 et seq., and Health and Safety Code Section 18941.5. From the date on which this chapter takes effect, the provisions of said code together with amendments thereto shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the City of Huntington Beach.
