§ 6.04.010. Definitions – Amendments to county code.

The following amendments are made to the County of San Bernardino Code referenced in this chapter:

A. Whenever "animal control officer" is used in this chapter, it means the city of Highland's animal control officer.

B. Whenever "animal care and control program" is used in this chapter, it means the city of Highland's animal care and control program.

C. Whenever "board of supervisors" or "board" is used in this chapter, it means the Highland city council.

D. Whenever "county building department" or "county building and safety department" is used in this chapter, it means city of Highland's building division of the community development department.

E. Whenever "chief officer" is used in this chapter, it means the city of Highland's chief officer.

F. Whenever "county" is used in the chapter, it means the geographical limits of the city of Highland unless a different geographical area is clearly indicated by the context.

G. Whenever "county," "county of San Bernardino" or "unincorporated territory of the county of San Bernardino" is used, it means the city of Highland.

H. Whenever "health officer" or "county health officer" is used in this chapter, it means the city of Highland's health officer.

I. Whenever "public health director" or "public health administrator" of the county of San Bernardino is used in this chapter, it means the city of Highland's public health director or public health administrator.

§ 6.04.020. County animal control regulations – Adopted.

The following provisions of the San Bernardino County Code regarding animal control regulations and administrative citations are adopted by reference:

A. Title 1, Division 1, Chapter 2, Section 11.0208, in its entirety;

B. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 1, in its entirety;

C. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 2, in its entirety;

D. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 3, in its entirety;

E. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 14, in its entirety; and

F. Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 15, in its entirety.

§ 6.04.030. County animal control regulations available in the city clerk's office.

The county animal control regulations adopted by the city council shall be available upon request in the city clerk's office during regular business hours as established by the city council.

§ 6.04.040. Liability for employees.

The owner, manager, and operator of every activity or facility subject to this chapter shall be responsible for any violation of this chapter by an employee.
