10.12.010 - Incorporation of Sections 23130 and 27150 of vehicle code.

Sections 23130 and 27150 of the vehicle code of the state of California are incorporated by reference.

10.12.020 - Noise level.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle whose noise level is in excess of that provided in Section 23130 of the vehicle code of the state of California.

10.12.030 - Spark arrester and muffler.

Any motor vehicle operated within the city shall be equipped with a spark arrester and also with a muffler as defined in Section 27150 of the California Vehicle Code. No person shall operate a motor vehicle unless it is so equipped with a spark arrester and muffler.

10.12.040 - Exemptions.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to operation of vehicles upon property used for raceways or racing facilities in accordance with a license or permit issued by the city.

10.12.050 - Riding on motorcycles and bicycles.

No person shall ride upon a highway on either a motorcycle or bicycle on a portion of said vehicle which is not specifically designed for the carrying of passengers, nor shall any person operating a motorcycle or bicycle upon a highway permit another to do so.

10.12.060 - Clinging to moving vehicles.

It is unlawful for any person traveling upon any bicycle, motorcycle, motorscooter or any moving vehicle of any nature whatever, on any public highway, to cling to or attach himself or his vehicle to any other moving vehicle.
